MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK: THE ONE WITH THE ESPOOKY HALLOWEEN VIBES

MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK: THE ONE WITH THE ESPOOKY HALLOWEEN VIBES

Since many people tend to host or be invited to epic Halloween parties during the last weeks of October, our MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK contains those songs that should be played at all gatherings or events this season. These are the espooky songs that we all have grown up listening to that come from pop culture favorites and horror films. If you’re trying to dance or just have amazing background music for your espooky event, go ahead and just let this playlist blast!

Just a disclaimer, not all of the songs in this list are Halloween themed. Some of them just give off those vibes for this time of the year. All of them are catchy and make us want to get up and boogie. You won’t be disappointed! #LaBrujaDel71Approved

MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK: THE ONE WITH THE CANCIONES EN ESPAÑOL FROM YOUR MOMMA’S ZUMBA CLASS

MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK: THE ONE WITH THE CANCIONES EN ESPAÑOL FROM YOUR MOMMA’S ZUMBA CLASS
Dancing is also a great way to cope with anything that comes your way throughout the work week. There is nothing like having a dance session and just letting the music take control of your body! Since we are in the last week of National Hispanic Heritage Month, our MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK is made up of epic songs that mothers and tías would most likely enjoy jamming out to during their Zumba class or any type of dance/workout session. It’s a mix that will make it impossible to just stay seated or stand motionless next to a wall. You will be up on your feet ready to hit the dance floor. All these songs are señora approved. (¡Un saludo especial a todas las abuelitas, mamás y tías que nos obligaban a bailar en las fiestas familiares!)

BEER RUN OF THE WEEK: WILL ANY OF THESE BEERS HAVE A CONNECTION WITH OUR “I LOVE MICHELADAS” MIXES AS DEEP AND STRONG AS AN ANGRY LATINA MOTHER AND HER FLYING CHANCLA??

BEER RUN OF THE WEEK: WILL ANY OF THESE BEERS HAVE A CONNECTION WITH OUR “I LOVE MICHELADAS” MIXES AS DEEP AND STRONG AS AN ANGRY LATINA MOTHER AND HER FLYING CHANCLA??

For the 5th time, we sent out the same clueless individual who has been randomly picking the beers for this exercise. He was sent to go explore the many aisles of alcoholic beverages at Ramirez Beverage Center on Olympic Boulevard in Los Angeles, California. Since we are in the last weeks of Hispanic Heritage Month, he selected 3 random Mexican-style lagers as a little homage to nuestro México lindo y querido.

As tradition, giving out symbolic medals is the best way to rank these beers. Based on how well the three beers tasted with our “I Love Micheladas” mixes, they were either given a gold, silver or bronze medal. Of course, a gold medal is the best, a silver medal is considered second place and a bronze medal would be third and last place. Just to be clear, receiving a bronze medal is not a shameful thing….. it just means that two other beers had a stronger connection with our michelada mixes. The fact that any of these beers were selected for our silly exercise should be celebrated!

MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK: THE ONE WITH THE OLD SCHOOL REGGAETÓN

MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK: THE ONE WITH THE OLD SCHOOL REGGAETÓN
Since we are still in the middle of National Hispanic Heritage Month, our MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK pays tribute to old school reggaetón. This genre of music originated in Puerto Rico in the 90’s (and since then has been influenced by many Latin American and African sounds) but it didn’t become popular until the 2000’s here in the United States. This playlist does not contain anything involving Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Maluma, Anuel AA, Natti Natasha or Karol G. It contains the artists who paved the way before they became the superstars that they are now. These songs are from artists such as Daddy Yankee, Ivy Queen, Tego Calderón, Wisin & Yandel and Don Omar. These songs are those hits that were all over the Spanish urban radio stations and were playing on various Myspace pages during the 2000’s. #IfYouKnowYouKnow

Since the weekend is just around the corner, we wanted to make sure that you had some worthy choices when it came to watching television. This week our recommendations include 3 shows, a series/novela and a docuseries that should all be on everyone’s radar. We suggest binge watching all of them. No one is judging if you do!
