      THE MICHE HUB — latinos

MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK: THE ONE WITH THE CARNITA ASADA HITS

MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK: THE ONE WITH THE CARNITA ASADA HITS
This MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK is meant to bring life and joy to any carnita asada gathering. This 50 song playlist (yes, it’s your lucky Monday because this week we’re giving you 50 jams) was a bit more challenging to put together because everyone has a different expectation for the music they expect to hear while grubbing on some grilled deliciousness with family and friends. The vibe of the entire gathering is heavily influenced by the genre and language of the music being played. One could easily go all hip-hop, reggaeton, banda, pop or salsa. So, we decided to make sure it had a little bit of everything. The playlist will definitely cheer you up and make you want to move. Since carne asadas involve people of all ages, we kept that in mind when constructing the playlist for this week. We know you’ll like it though!

BEER RUN OF THE WEEK: WILL ANY OF THESE BEERS BE AS COMPATIBLE WITH OUR “I LOVE MICHELADAS” MIXES AS JLO AND BEN AFFLECK HAVE BEEN WITH EACH OTHER LATELY?

BEER RUN OF THE WEEK: WILL ANY OF THESE BEERS BE AS COMPATIBLE WITH OUR “I LOVE MICHELADAS” MIXES AS JLO AND BEN AFFLECK HAVE BEEN WITH EACH OTHER LATELY?

We know that “time is money” and that you value your free time. With that idea in mind, we are starting this biweekly exercise, in which we select 3 random beers and we’ll let you know if they are perfect (or not) for micheladas! We want to save you time, money and effort by just letting you know what you should try and perhaps what beer you should avoid. We are not beer sommeliers nor are we experts of any kind… we just enjoy drinking micheladas especially if it’s for very important research purposes.

To stay in the spirit of the Olympics, we gave the three beers either a gold medal, a silver medal or a bronze medal based on how well they tasted with our “I Love Micheladas” mix. Of course, a gold medal is the best, a silver medal is considered second place and a bronze medal would be third and last place. A bronze medal isn’t completely horrible… it just means two other beers had a better connection with our michelada mix.

A LOOK BACK AT LATINX SHOWS WORTH WATCHING AGAIN AND AGAIN
This week we present you a group of shows that focus on latinx characters and their inspiring/amusing storylines. Some of these shows are not new, but they’re all timeless. They all do a phenomenal job at putting a spotlight into the lovable latinx family dynamic and the everyday issues our community faces. The great thing about them is that anyone can relate to the situations experienced by these characters since the problems portrayed are universal.
