MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK: THE ONE WITH THE ESPOOKY HALLOWEEN VIBES

MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK: THE ONE WITH THE ESPOOKY HALLOWEEN VIBES

Since many people tend to host or be invited to epic Halloween parties during the last weeks of October, our MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK contains those songs that should be played at all gatherings or events this season. These are the espooky songs that we all have grown up listening to that come from pop culture favorites and horror films. If you’re trying to dance or just have amazing background music for your espooky event, go ahead and just let this playlist blast!

Just a disclaimer, not all of the songs in this list are Halloween themed. Some of them just give off those vibes for this time of the year. All of them are catchy and make us want to get up and boogie. You won’t be disappointed! #LaBrujaDel71Approved

MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK: THE ONE WITH THE CANCIONES EN ESPAÑOL FROM YOUR MOMMA’S ZUMBA CLASS

MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK: THE ONE WITH THE CANCIONES EN ESPAÑOL FROM YOUR MOMMA’S ZUMBA CLASS
Dancing is also a great way to cope with anything that comes your way throughout the work week. There is nothing like having a dance session and just letting the music take control of your body! Since we are in the last week of National Hispanic Heritage Month, our MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK is made up of epic songs that mothers and tías would most likely enjoy jamming out to during their Zumba class or any type of dance/workout session. It’s a mix that will make it impossible to just stay seated or stand motionless next to a wall. You will be up on your feet ready to hit the dance floor. All these songs are señora approved. (¡Un saludo especial a todas las abuelitas, mamás y tías que nos obligaban a bailar en las fiestas familiares!)

MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK: THE ONE WITH THE OLD SCHOOL REGGAETÓN

MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK: THE ONE WITH THE OLD SCHOOL REGGAETÓN
Since we are still in the middle of National Hispanic Heritage Month, our MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK pays tribute to old school reggaetón. This genre of music originated in Puerto Rico in the 90’s (and since then has been influenced by many Latin American and African sounds) but it didn’t become popular until the 2000’s here in the United States. This playlist does not contain anything involving Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Maluma, Anuel AA, Natti Natasha or Karol G. It contains the artists who paved the way before they became the superstars that they are now. These songs are from artists such as Daddy Yankee, Ivy Queen, Tego Calderón, Wisin & Yandel and Don Omar. These songs are those hits that were all over the Spanish urban radio stations and were playing on various Myspace pages during the 2000’s. #IfYouKnowYouKnow

MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK: THE ONE WITH THE ROCK EN ESPAÑOL JAMS

MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK: THE ONE WITH THE ROCK EN ESPAÑOL JAMS
Since we are still in the middle of National Hispanic Heritage Month, our MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK contains 50 Spanish rock songs that we all have grown to love. It’s a nice mix of 80’s, 90’s and early 2000’s hits that will never get old. You can’t wrong with a playlist containing legendary artists such as Los Enanitos Verdes, Maná, Hombres G, Caifanes and Nek. We weren’t able to include music from every artist from this genre since the list is huge. We will make sure to update the list with even more singers and bands that deserve to be part of it.

IT’S COMPLETELY NORMAL TO HAVE MORE STREAMING SERVICES THAN ACTUAL FRIENDS, RIGHT!????

IT’S COMPLETELY NORMAL TO HAVE MORE STREAMING SERVICES THAN ACTUAL FRIENDS, RIGHT!????

The great thing about streaming services is that now Hispanics have a bigger space in the entertainment industry to share our stories. Those stories that are often left untold and unheard. Now more than ever, more content by Spanish speakers for Spanish (and non-Spanish) speakers are being created, produced and shared. We are living in such an amazing time!

This week our recommendations include 4 shows and 1 film that are great choices for the festivities taking place for the next 4 weeks. It was impossible to not mention the film included in this list because it's a family-friendly must watch! This week’s list contains shows that feature comedy, drama, thrill and music.
