IF SHE’S NOT SHARING HER PASSWORDS FOR HER STREAMING SERVICES WITH YOU….. SHE’S NOT THE ONE

Just in case you’ve been living under a rock, it’s finally October!!! It’s that amazing month in which you're allowed to eat candy all day and dress up without any judgement. Today is also Friday and it’s payday for many of us! Life can’t get any better. (If you feel like things aren’t going your way, just give it time.) ¡Animo, que si se puede!

By the way, we hope that the title of this blog didn’t create too much chaos within your relationship! Streaming service memberships do add up, so it makes sense to share an account with your other half. If they refuse to share, you might want to rethink your life choices! Just sayin’!  >_<

Since the weekend is just around the corner, we wanted to make sure that you had some worthy choices when it came to watching television. This week our recommendations include 3 shows, a series/novela and a docuseries that should all be on everyone’s radar. We suggest binge watching all of them. No one is judging if you do!

Very specific and private studies have shown that watching television while sippin’ on a michelada is the new “fountain of youth.” Don’t ask us who made the studies (nobody has time for that) and just believe us! With that said, we recommend having a michelada made with our thirst-quenching “I Love Micheladas” mixes. It’s so easy to prepare that just about anyone can do so. Make sure you’re over 21 though!!!! All you have to do to make yourself the best tasting michelada on earth is: shake our “I Love Micheladas” bottle, grab a cup, prepare the rim (with chamoy, lemon and/or Tajín), pour our mix and combine it with your favorite beer or sparkling water.

Our Red and OG Brown mixes are excellent choices. If you like spicy, use our OG Brown mix. With that said, use our Red mix if you like the less spicy but savory michelada! Our 32 oz bottles of Red Mix and our OG Brown Mix are available at many latino grocery stores and online by visiting www.ILoveMicheladas.com. Don’t trust any of the other choices out there. We use quality ingredients and our products just don’t compare to those of our competitors. Try it out for yourself!

Ok. Now let’s get to the main reason for this blog. Get your miche and snacks ready! Here are our tv show recommendations for this week! (Please let us know if you like them too!)

WHAT TV SHOWS ARE WE WATCHING THIS WEEK?

1. “SQUID GAME” (1 Season available on Netflix)

Rated:TV-MA (Drama, Action, Thriller, Horror)

So everyone and their momma is watching this Korean show so we had to do so as well! We still don’t know what the heck we are watching, but it’s addicting. It’s basically a group of people competing for a grand prize while being directed by a giant creepy doll! Oh we also forgot to mention that instead of people getting sent home, disqualified or voted off like a normal competition show….. they die! ¡¡Ay, caramba!!

2. “The Wonder Years” (1 Season: New episodes available weekly on Hulu and ABC)

Rated:TV-PG (Comedy, Drama, Family)

The show that was popular back in the late 80’s and early 90’s is back! The 2021 version focuses on the life stories of Dean, an African American kid, who grew up in Montgomery, Alabama during the late 60’s. It’s impossible to not fall in love with Dean and his entire family as they try their best to navigate through life’s struggles during this difficult time in U.S. history. New episodes are available on a weekly basis. Go check it out!

3. “MALVERDE: EL SANTO PATRÓN” (1 Season: New episodes available daily on Telemundo and Peacock)

Rated:TV-14 (Drama, Crime, Mystery)

You’ll definitely enjoy this series if you’re a fan of the iconic Pedro Fernández! He’s back on television as Jesús Juárez, the Sinaloa, México native, who many see as a legendary figure/saint from the pre-Mexican Revolution era. The series tells his story as he became the “Robin Hood” for his people. You’ll enjoy the cast, the sets, the wardrobe and the action. Only 3 episodes have been released but it seems like it’s going to be a hit!

4. “Atypical” (4 Seasons available on Netflix)

Rated:TV-MA (Drama/Comedy/Family)

The 4th and final season of Atypical has just been released! This amazing series focuses on the life of Sam, a teenager on the autism spectrum, who makes his best to show his family that he can be independent just like anyone else. Sam, his family and his friends make this series a must watch because it shows the power of family and not letting anything hold you back from achieving your goals. You’ll smile, laugh and even cry as you venture into the many episodes of this great show. It’s funny and eye-opening!

5. “ROMPAN TODO: LA HISTORIA DEL ROCK EN AMÉRICA LATINA” (A DOCUSERIES available on Netflix)

Rated:TV-MA (Docuseries/Music)

If you’re a fan of iconic artists such as Julieta Venegas, Soda Stereo, Maldita Vecindad and Café Tacvba…… you’ll love this mini docuseries! It focuses on the history of rock en español and how the music has been used to speak against injustice and oppression. All music lovers should take the time to see this since it proves why our music is so important. ¡Y que viva el rock en español por unos 70 años más!
