Â
]]>Novelas were part of my childhood whether I wanted it or not, so I began to embrace them. The best part of them was the over-the-top introductions that included a very catchy song and shots of the main characters. Sometimes when I hear a specific song, I am transported to my living room back in the 90âs and I see myself sitting on the couch doing homework while a novela such as âDos Mujeres Un Caminoâ played in the background. The introduction song was the best part! Nowadays, all these series and shows on streaming services donât embrace theme songs anymore. I have to admit that itâs a sad reality.
With that idea in mind, our MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK contains those songs that novelas used in their introductions. The list includes hits from the 90âs, 2000âs and 2010âs. Trying to guess which novela each song represents is fun! The list of novelas is endless, so we tried our best to include as many as possible. Unfortunately, Spotify did not have several good ones. Thatâs such a shame! The hit song from âSoñadorasâ from Sentidos Opuestos was not available, as well as the theme songs from âCarruselâ and âLuz Clarita.â Thatâs unacceptable Spotify. LOL
]]>Thanksgiving is only a few days away and that only means that delicious food along with family/friends is just around the corner. Spending time with family and friends can also mean unnecessary DRAMA! The important thing to remember is that Thanksgiving is supposed to be a day in which we pause and appreciate all the things that we have. Letâs be thankful that we have those people (whether theyâre annoying or not) in our lives still. Embrace them, tolerate them, accept them and just learn to love them. There are those that wish they still had specific loved ones in their lives and itâs just not a reality anymore. This year letâs try our best to be thankful for all the good and the not so good. (Itâs important to note that regardless of your situation⊠unfortunately, there are people who are worse off than you. Let that sink in.)
Since holidays tend to involve drama, it was impossible to not think back to novelas. Yes, donât even act like your upbringing didnât involve those novelas that were available for everyone to enjoy after school and during the evening Mondays through Fridays. My mother would come home from work to start cooking while watching the novela at 7PM, 8PM and 9PM. It was three hours of juicy cachetadas, awkward kissing, and arguments that involved hilarious words in Spanish that I anxiously still keep in my back to pocket to use whenever needed. (I still have yet to use them, but Iâm looking forward to it.) Attempting to change the channel wouldnât have been a good idea since it would have most likely resulted in a quick trip to the hospital. Kids, never change the channel while a mother is in the middle of her novelas.Â

On Thursday, please make sure that your Thanksgiving meal (thatâs hopefully drama-free) includes some micheladas! The easiest way to make sure your micheladas are easy to make and are on-point is to use our tasty and savory mixes. All you need to do is pair your favorite beer or sparkling water with any of our âI Love Micheladasâ mixes! Our OG Brown mix is a bit on the spicy side, while our Red Mix isnât. Both create perfect micheladas catered to your specific flavor profile needs.Â
Our 32 oz bottles of our Red mix or OG Brown mix can be purchased at most latino supermarkets or online at www.ILoveMicheladas.com. Our bottles can also now be found at all Food 4 Less stores! May you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day. Keep the happiness up and the drama down. Eat a lot of food and feel free to have our novela playlist ready to go just in case a family argument erupts in your household and it needs some background music.Â
And in the epic words of Soraya MontenegroâŠâŠ âÂĄÂĄMaldita lisiada!! ÂĄVe y disfruta de tu Thanskgiving!â

MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK:
Â
]]>Happy Friday!!! There are only 9 Fridays left in the year 2021. Make sure you enjoy them to the fullest since they will pass you by faster than an angry mother running after her misbehaved child. Itâs true, next thing you know itâs going to be New Yearâs Eve. I still donât understand how we find ourselves in the month of November already. Why does it feel like time is moving faster than usual!!???
Whether we like it or not, we are in the middle of autumn now. The weather is getting a bit more chilly so itâs the perfect time to grab your cozy San Marcos cobijas (you know, the ones with the animals such as a lion, a cheetah, Bambiâs mom or a horse), your favorite hoodie and a michelada (itâs never too cold for a michelada) to enjoy some good television. If youâre overwhelmed by the many options available on all your current streaming services, we are here to assist. This week our recommendations include 3 dramas, a thriller and a docuseries that will keep you hooked way past this weekend.Â
I know most people think that drinking warm things such as tea, coffee, hot chocolate is the thing to do when itâs getting cold outsideâŠ. well theyâ re all WRONG! A cold michelada is the perfect drink during this season because it will keep you feeling nice and chill. With that idea in mind, we recommend having a michelada made with our world-famous âI Love Micheladasâ mixes. We have our OG Brown Mix which is a bit more on the spicy side, as well as our Red Mix that provides the perfect balance between a tomato and spicy taste profile. The best thing about our mixes is that it saves you time and having to spend more money on extra ingredients. All you have to do is shake our âI Love Micheladasâ bottle, grab a cup, prepare the rim (with chamoy, lemon and/or TajĂn), pour our mix and combine it with your favorite beer or sparkling water.
Our 32 oz bottles of Red Mix and our OG Brown Mix are available at many latino grocery stores, Food 4 Less stores, and online by visiting www.ILoveMicheladas.com. There may be many choices for micheladas out there, but they all fall short to our mix made with love and superior ingredients.
Itâs now time to get warm, gather the family and friends (or not) and start watching all these shows that are worthy of our viewing. Now we present to you our recommendations for this week!
Â
WHAT TV SHOWS ARE WE WATCHING THIS WEEK?
Â
1. âDARK DESIREâ (1 Season available on Netflix)
Rated:TV-MA (Drama/Thriller)
This series will capture your attention from the very first episode. Itâs a thriller that involves a married woman who goes away for the weekend to celebrate with her friend. This little trip changes her life forever once she realizes it causes a tragedy and even puts her marriage on the line. There is even a love triangle involving a daughter and a mother. ÂĄAy Dios mio! Donât even act like this isnât the type of crazy family drama you enjoy watching.Â
Â
2.âJENNI RIVERA: MARIPOSA DE BARRIO â LA SERIEâ (1 Season available on Netflix)
Rated:TV-MA (Drama)
This novela type series is perfect for all Jenni Rivera fans since it will make you appreciate even more the legacy of the Mexican-American superstar that left us too soon. This series is an emotional rollercoaster since it gives us a glimpse into the struggles that Jenni overcame throughout her life. Intense situations ranging from being a pregnant teen which suicidal thoughts, living in a garage, overcoming domestic abuse and being cheated on numerous times. Even if youâre not a fan or if you donât know much about Jenni⊠watching this series is entertaining and it reminds us about how being famous isnât always just riches and glamour.Â
Â
3. âTHE MOVIES THAT MADE USâ (3 Seasons available on Netflix)
Rated:TV-MA (Docuseries)
If youâre a fan of the film industry, this is a must watch! Itâs basically a docuseries that focuses on an epic movie from the past on each episode. You will get a behind the scenes look on how it was made, commentary from the actors and directors and information that hadnât been shared until now. The movies honored in this docuseries include Home Alone, Ghostbusters, Dirty Dancing, Forrest Gump, Back To The Future, Coming To America and Friday The 13th. This docuseries will help you appreciate your favorite movies even more.Â
Â
4. âPEAKY BLINDERSâ (5 Seasons available on Netflix)
Rated:TV-MA (Drama/Crime Series)
This series which takes place in England in the early 1920s is one of the best crime related tv shows ever made! It showcases the rivalry between gangs after WW1 during a period that was extremely chaotic since power was up for grabs. It is centered around a family who is the prime example of how hard work pays off regardless of what it takes to make it happen. The first few episodes might be a little tough to get through but once you get a hang of the characters, storylines and vibe of the show⊠you instantly become addicted. The backgrounds, music and actors make this series one of a kind. Itâs also important to note that everyone is extremely good looking in this seriesâŠ. so you have nothing to lose by giving it a chance.
Â
5. âONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDINGâ (1 Season available on Hulu)
Rated:TV-MA (Drama/Mystery/Comedy)
You know any show that involves Martin Short, Steve Martin and Selena Gomez is bound to be a hit! This series proves that statement to be a fact. This show focuses on 3 strangers who are obsessed with solving murder mysteries without knowing that theyâre in the middle of one. Witnessing the things that they have to go through to solve this real-life mystery is extremely entertaining. The dark humor will have you laughing out loud (the real LOL, not the fake LOL that you sometimes find yourself being obligated to type back for no reason.) Go watch it!
]]>Just in case you were dying to know, the year only has 9 Mondays left. Today is Monday. So after today, there will only be 8 Mondays left! Letâs look at the glass âhalf-fullâ on the last weeks of 2021 and things will not seem as miserable. Just try your best to enjoy all these last Mondays that are headed our way. Coffee, getting enough sleep, going to the gym, eating healthy, hugging puppies, dancing with strangers, fake laughing out loud and staying 600 feet away from negative people helps a lot. ÂĄSi se puede!
Music is definitely one of the best ways to try to bring positive vibes into your day. More specifically, great music from amazing artists. Since everyone (or at least most people) love Rihanna and BeyoncĂ©âŠâŠ. our MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK presents our second VS sing-off playlist containing songs from these musical geniuses. Hits from Rihanna go âhead to headâ with songs from BeyoncĂ©âs solo career. This created the perfect playlist for fans of these two musical superstars since it includes songs from the various stages of their careers. Some songs that featured Rihanna or BeyoncĂ© are part of this mix as well. Donât get it twisted, this playlist does not include any Destinyâs Child songs (even though theyâre amazing) since it wasnât just BeyoncĂ© putting in work. Â
We want to send a special shout out to the Beyhive and the Rihanna Navy. They are two fan bases that you never want to offend. THEY WILL BREAK YOU AND BASICALLY KILL YOU if you cross them in anyway. Never get yourself on their bad list. You've been warned. For that reason, we send them all our love and positive vibes. :P
We would like to think that both of these ladies would want everyone to enjoy and groove to their music while holding a michelada (or two.) If youâre trying to make some micheladas at home or anywhere, our âI Love Micheladasâ mix can help you make that happen. Itâs barely Monday today, but there is never a wrong day to pair your favorite beer or sparkling water with any of our âI Love Micheladasâ mixes! You can get your own 32 oz bottles of our mix by visiting your local latino supermarkets, Food 4 Less or online at www.ILoveMicheladas.com. Itâs a matter of just opening the bottle and mixing. Itâs so easy that basically anyone can make it. Yes, if you have a brain (big or small) you can make your own michelada using our mixes!
Now that you have the perfect drink in hand, the perfect playlist for your Rihanna/BeyoncĂ© sessionâŠ. letâs get this pop/R&B party started! Let the music take over your entire being and donât forget to try to keep the glass âhalf-fullâ vibes going for the remaining months of the year!Â
We love you RiRi! We love you Queen B!Â
Â
MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK:
Why take the time to clean the house if no one is visiting you anyway, right!? WRONG! There is absolutely no excuse to not clean your place, familia! Donât even act like your childhood mornings every weekend didnât consist of being woken up early by loud music blasting through the walls of your entire house with the strong toxic aroma of Fabuloso and your parents yelling, âÂĄÂĄLevantate ya y ponte a limpiar!!â If that wasnât what your Saturday mornings looked like growing upâŠ.. then perhaps you had normal parents or even a maid! Lucky you.Â
Today is Tuesday and that only means that the weekend is just several days away. If your house looks like it was struck by a 7.9 earthquake whose epicenter was your living roomâŠâŠ stop crying! We got you! Now you have no excuse to ignore your dirty house because our MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK contains 85 songs that are bound to give you the nostalgic energy needed to get you to get up and start cleaning everything. Itâs those K-LOVE type songs that we all grew up listening to. Some are baladas while others are more upbeatâŠ.. but they all serve as great background music to get the cleaning party going.Â
Please keep in mind that the best way to clean and enjoy this epic playlist is with several micheladas in hand. Since you have a lot to clean and âtime is moneyâ make sure that you have our 32 oz âI Love Micheladasâ nearby. They make the act of preparing micheladas extremely easy. All you have to do is pair your favorite beer or sparkling water with any of our âI Love Micheladasâ mixes and you're all set! Our products can be purchased at your local Latino supermarket, Food 4 Less, or by visiting us online at www.ILoveMicheladas.com. You will not be disappointed.Â
Now take a deep breathe. Hit play on our Spotify cleaning playlist. Gather the brooms, trapiadores, buckets, Fabuloso, Clorox wipes and anything else that's necessary. Feel free to invite helpers since the more the merrier. Now grab your michelada (made with our "I Love Micheladas" mix of course) with one hand and the vacuum with the other. Now your cleaning party has officially begun. We suggest you sing and dance so this party doesn't feel as miserable as most people think cleaning parties are. Your ancestors, abuelitas and parents will be proud of you. ÂĄSi se puede! Â

MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK:
Â
]]>Since many people tend to host or be invited to epic Halloween parties during the last weeks of October, our MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK contains those songs that should be played at all gatherings or events this season. These are the espooky songs that we all have grown up listening to that come from pop culture favorites and horror films. If youâre trying to dance or just have amazing background music for your espooky event, go ahead and just let this playlist blast!Â
Just a disclaimer, not all of the songs in this list are Halloween themed. Some of them just give off those vibes for this time of the year. All of them are catchy and make us want to get up and boogie. You wonât be disappointed! #LaBrujaDel71Approved
]]>Iâve come to the conclusion that Mondays and Tuesdays are not that bad if you have a delicious breakfast. If you start the day off with a good nutritional meal (or snack), the chances of you being grouchy diminish tremendously! Hungry people tend to be very mean people. So make sure to eat before you start off your day, especially at the beginning of the week! (Yes, that includes you Debra!)
Just in case life and all of its unexpected gifts have taken over your life and youâve lost track of timeâŠ. Halloween is just around the corner! So if youâre going to be a trick-or-treater this year, make sure you start working on getting the perfect costume. If youâre going to be a candy giver, you better start purchasing some candy! If youâre doing neither, just continue doing whatever it is you do on October 31st. Just do you, boo. JUST DO YOU.

]]>Dancing is also a great way to cope with anything that comes your way throughout the work week. There is nothing like having a dance session and just letting the music take control of your body! Since we are in the last week of National Hispanic Heritage Month, our MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK is made up of epic songs that mothers and tĂas would most likely enjoy jamming out to during their Zumba class or any type of dance/workout session. Itâs a mix that will make it impossible to just stay seated or stand motionless next to a wall. You will be up on your feet ready to hit the dance floor. All these songs are señora approved. (ÂĄUn saludo especial a todas las abuelitas, mamĂĄs y tĂas que nos obligaban a bailar en las fiestas familiares!)
The musical genres featured in this playlist include: salsa, cumbia, merengue, bachata, quebradita and pop that should all be part of any dance session. Some of the songs are silly and just take you back in time. All of them are hits that should be played and replayed forever. If you ever need a boost of energy and happiness, this playlist will make it happen.Â
If anyone knows of a Zumba class that plays this type of music, let us know so that we can sign up immediately. Getting a workout in while dancing to fun music is the thing to do, people!
All this dancing will most likely leave you thirsty and dehydrated. Make sure you take a few sips of water if available. If not, the next best thing is an ice cold michelada. Itâs never too early in the week to pair your favorite beer or sparkling water with any of our âI Love Micheladasâ mixes! You can make your own by visiting your local latino supermarkets to buy our 32 oz bottles there or by purchasing online at www.ILoveMicheladas.com. (Our 32 oz bottles are now now available at all Food 4 Less stores!!!) Once you have our mix, preparing the michelada is one of the easiest things on earth. All you have to do is prepare the rim of your favorite cup with lemon/TajĂn/chamoy, open the bottle of our âI Love Micheladasâ mix, pour it into your cup, pour your favorite beer/sparkling water, mix it all and enjoy. It seriously canât get any easier. Make sure to tag us on your âI Love Micheladasâ creations on Instagram and Facebook using @ilovemicheladas!
Now that you have the perfect michelada and the perfect playlist for your Zumba session⊠you are ready for an amazing time! (Feel free to tell your instructors to use this playlist instead of their boring music!) Letâs get our dancing session started in 3, 2, 1âŠâŠ ÂĄÂĄA BAILAR SE HA DICHO!!
Â
MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK:
Â
]]>This weekend I stumbled upon my actual Daddy Yankeeâs âBarrio Finoâ CD while cleaning my garage and it brought back so many memories since thatâs the album that began my obsession with reggaetĂłn. The moment my ears listened to âGasolinaââŠ.. my nerdy innocent high school self was no longer the same. (Speaking of gasolinaâŠâŠ what is up with these current gas prices!!??? Daddy Yankee do something!) I just remember being blown away with the fact that reggaetĂłn had lyrics in my first language accompanied with a catchy mix of rhythms and beats.
Since we are still in the middle of National Hispanic Heritage Month, our MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK pays tribute to old school reggaetĂłn. ReggaetĂłn, which originated in Puerto Rico in the 90âs but has been influenced by many Latin American and African sounds since then, didnât become popular until the 2000âs here in the United States. Most reggaetĂłn songs are not grandma approved, but that doesn't take away from the fact that the genre is catchy, strong and it's here to stay. (Sorry not sorry, abuelita!) This playlist does not contain anything involving Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Maluma, Anuel AA, Natti Natasha or Karol G. It contains the artists who paved the way before they became the superstars that they are now. Our list includes jams from artists such as Daddy Yankee, Ivy Queen, Tego CalderĂłn, Wisin & Yandel and Don Omar. It's basically all the hits that were all over the Spanish urban radio stations and were playing on various Myspace pages during the 2000âs. #IfYouKnowYouKnow
Just a mandatory disclaimerâŠâŠthis reggaetĂłn list does not include every song that should be part of it since the amount of old school reggaetĂłn hits is extremely massive. It contains our favorites and just know that many more songs will be added to the list in the future. For now, the songs we included will definitely be a refreshing throwback to a decade that was very important to the world of music.Â
Before you start perreando while listening to this amazing playlist, make sure that you are prepared with a michelada near you because you WILL get thirsty. (Please also make sure that your dance moves are work-appropriate if youâre listening to it while being on the clock.) I know that itâs the beginning of the week, but there is never a wrong day to pair your favorite beer or sparkling water with any of our âI Love Micheladasâ mixes! You can be part of the âI Love Micheladasâ craze that's sweeping the nation by either visiting your local latino supermarkets to buy our 32 oz bottles there or by purchasing online at www.ILoveMicheladas.com. Once you have our mix, preparing the michelada is easy AF. Seriously, anyone can easily make a michelada with our tasty and savory mixes. Make sure to tag us on your âI Love Micheladasâ creations on Instagram and Facebook using @ilovemicheladas!Â
Now that you have the perfect drink and the perfect playlist for your âperreo intensoâ sessionâŠ. letâs get this party started! (If youâre at work, please make sure your dancing does not have you being sent to HR. Donât jeopardize your job over our playlist. Itâs not worth it. Youâve been warned.)
ÂĄÂĄÂĄY que viva el perreo!!!

MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK:

By the way, we hope that the title of this blog didnât create too much chaos within your relationship! Streaming service memberships do add up, so it makes sense to share an account with your other half. If they refuse to share, you might want to rethink your life choices! Just sayinâ! >_<
Since the weekend is just around the corner, we wanted to make sure that you had some worthy choices when it came to watching television. This week our recommendations include 3 shows, a series/novela and a docuseries that should all be on everyoneâs radar. We suggest binge watching all of them. No one is judging if you do!
Very specific and private studies have shown that watching television while sippinâ on a michelada is the new âfountain of youth.â Donât ask us who made the studies (nobody has time for that) and just believe us! With that said, we recommend having a michelada made with our thirst-quenching âI Love Micheladasâ mixes. Itâs so easy to prepare that just about anyone can do so. Make sure youâre over 21 though!!!! All you have to do to make yourself the best tasting michelada on earth is: shake our âI Love Micheladasâ bottle, grab a cup, prepare the rim (with chamoy, lemon and/or TajĂn), pour our mix and combine it with your favorite beer or sparkling water.Â
Our Red and OG Brown mixes are excellent choices. If you like spicy, use our OG Brown mix. With that said, use our Red mix if you like the less spicy but savory michelada! Our 32 oz bottles of Red Mix and our OG Brown Mix are available at many latino grocery stores and online by visiting www.ILoveMicheladas.com. Donât trust any of the other choices out there. We use quality ingredients and our products just donât compare to those of our competitors. Try it out for yourself!Â
Ok. Now letâs get to the main reason for this blog. Get your miche and snacks ready! Here are our tv show recommendations for this week! (Please let us know if you like them too!)
Â
WHAT TV SHOWS ARE WE WATCHING THIS WEEK?
Â
1. âSQUID GAMEâ (1 Season available on Netflix)
Rated:TV-MA (Drama, Action, Thriller, Horror)
So everyone and their momma is watching this Korean show so we had to do so as well! We still donât know what the heck we are watching, but itâs addicting. Itâs basically a group of people competing for a grand prize while being directed by a giant creepy doll! Oh we also forgot to mention that instead of people getting sent home, disqualified or voted off like a normal competition showâŠ.. they die! ÂĄÂĄAy, caramba!!
Â
2. âThe Wonder Yearsâ (1 Season: New episodes available weekly on Hulu and ABC)
Rated:TV-PG (Comedy, Drama, Family)
The show that was popular back in the late 80âs and early 90âs is back! The 2021 version focuses on the life stories of Dean, an African American kid, who grew up in Montgomery, Alabama during the late 60âs. Youâll definitely enjoy this series if youâre a fan of the iconic Pedro FernĂĄndez! Heâs back on television as JesĂșs JuĂĄrez, the Sinaloa, MĂ©xico native, who many see as a legendary figure/saint from the pre-Mexican Revolution era. The series tells his story as he became the âRobin Hoodâ for his people. Youâll enjoy the cast, the sets, the wardrobe and the action. Only 3 episodes have been released but it seems like itâs going to be a hit!
Â
4. âAtypicalâ (4 Seasons available on Netflix)
Rated:TV-MA (Drama/Comedy/Family)
The 4th and final season of Atypical has just been released! This amazing series focuses on the life of Sam, a teenager on the autism spectrum, who makes his best to show his family that he can be independent just like anyone else. Sam, his family and his friends make this series a must watch because it shows the power of family and not letting anything hold you back from achieving your goals. Youâll smile, laugh and even cry as you venture into the many episodes of this great show. Itâs funny and eye-opening!Â
Â
5. âROMPAN TODO: LA HISTORIA DEL ROCK EN AMĂRICA LATINAâ (A DOCUSERIES available on Netflix)
Rated:TV-MA (Docuseries/Music)
If youâre a fan of iconic artists such as Julieta Venegas, Soda Stereo, Maldita Vecindad and CafĂ© TacvbaâŠâŠ youâll love this mini docuseries! It focuses on the history of rock en español and how the music has been used to speak against injustice and oppression. All music lovers should take the time to see this since it proves why our music is so important. ÂĄY que viva el rock en español por unos 70 años mĂĄs!
]]>Happy Monday, familia!!! I hope everyoneâs Monday morning didnât involve a long commute. If it did, I hope you used the playlists on our Spotify account to keep you company. They are all perfect for any type of traffic jam. Just make sure your singing and dancing doesnât involve letting go of the steering wheel! You have been warned.
Since we are still in the middle of National Hispanic Heritage Month, our MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK is dedicated to the amazing ROCK EN ESPAĂOL. It contains 50 Spanish rock songs that we all have grown to love and appreciate. Itâs a nice mix of 80âs, 90âs and early 2000âs hits that will never get old. You canât wrong with a playlist containing legendary artists such as Los Enanitos Verdes, ManĂĄ, Hombres G, Caifanes and Nek. We werenât able to include music from every artist from this genre since the list is huge. We will make sure to update the list with even more singers and bands that deserve to be part of it. Please bear with us.Â
The best way to enjoy this epic playlist is with a michelada (or two) in hand. Itâs barely Monday but itâs never a bad time to pair your favorite beer or sparkling water with any of our âI Love Micheladasâ mixes! To be able to create your own michelada, all you need to do is visit your local Latino supermarket to buy our 32 oz bottles there or by purchasing online at www.ILoveMicheladas.com. Now itâs time to kick back and enjoy this weekâs playlist. ÂĄY sĂșbanle al volumen!
Â
MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK:
Â
]]>Since we are still celebrating such an important month, our MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK pays tribute to those Latino/Hispanic musical collaborations that we all have grown to love. It seems like joining forces with other artists (even from different genres) is the thing to do nowadays. ]]>To help everyone stay positive on this brand-new week in the middle of National Hispanic Heritage Month, our MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK pays tribute to those Latino/Hispanic musical collaborations that we all have grown to love. It seems like joining forces with other artists (even from different genres) is the thing to do nowadays. Itâs always great when two singers or bands that you love get together to create a catchy hit!
Since teamwork makes the dream work, we made sure the tunes selected for this playlist were in Spanish and featured two artists (or more) who were Latino/Hispanic. The list of songs that combine the talents of two or more artists is endless, but we did our best to select a wonderful mix of artists and songs. The playlist contains songs from various decades and includes many genres of music in Spanish.
Speaking of collaborations, have you ever paired your favorite beer or sparkling water with any of our âI Love Micheladasâ mixes? If youâve never had the opportunity to do so, you are missing out on a delicious and savory drinkable creation! Our âI Love Micheladasâ Red Mix and our OG Brown Mix make it extremely easy for you to create a michelada anywhere you want. All you need to do is visit your local Latino supermarket and buy our 32 oz bottle(s) there. Our products can also be purchased online at www.ILoveMicheladas.com. MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK:
Â
]]>The great thing about streaming services is that now Hispanics have a bigger space in the entertainment industry to share our stories. Those stories that are often left untold and unheard. Now more than ever, more content by Spanish speakers for Spanish (and non-Spanish) speakers are being created, produced and shared. We are living in such an amazing time!
This week our recommendations include 4 shows and 1 film that are great choices for the festivities taking place for the next 4 weeks. It was impossible to not mention the film included in this list because it's a family-friendly must watch! This weekâs list contains shows that feature comedy, drama, thrill and music.Â
]]>A much special shout out to Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica who celebrated their Independence Day on September 15. A special shout out to MĂ©xico for celebrating its Independence Day on September 16! ÂĄVIVA MĂXICO! We canât forget about Chile who will also be celebrating its Independence Day on September 18! ÂĄSaludos a todos!
The great thing about streaming services is that now Hispanics have a bigger space in the entertainment industry to share our stories. Those stories that are often left untold and unheard. Now more than ever, more content by Spanish speakers for Spanish (and non-Spanish) speakers are being created, produced and shared. We are living in such an amazing time!

Before you sit down to start enjoying the shows we are watching this weekâŠâŠwe recommend having a michelada made with our world-famous âI Love Micheladasâ mixes. The preparation process is so simple that even a blind monkey could do it. (We didnât mean to disrespect the blind monkey community. Please forgive us. We love and respect you.) Basically all you have to do to prepare yourself a tasty michelada is: shake the âI Love Micheladasâ bottle, grab a cup, prepare the rim (with chamoy, lemon and/or TajĂn), pour our mix and combine it with your favorite beer or sparkling water. Our choices are our Red Mix, which is the perfect amount of spice and tomato goodness, and our OG Brown Mix ,which is perfect for those who like spiciness. (Yes, we even have a VEGAN mix available for all you wonderful vegans out there!)
So quit sleeping on this wonderful product, familia! Our Red Mix and our OG Brown Mix are available at many latino grocery stores and online by visiting www.ILoveMicheladas.com. Act now before you have no choice but to watch our picks of the week while drinking flavorless horchata or aguas frescas from just anywhere. That is why itâs important to be prepared and have a pantry full of our 32 oz bottles of âI Love Micheladasâ mix!
For the record, I do have friends. Donât get fooled by the dramatic and over-the-top title used. Thereâs no need to flood our mail with sympathy cards. I do have a lot of subscriptions to streaming services though. Help!!!
Ok. Now letâs get to the best part of this blog. Here are our recommendations for this week!
Â
WHAT TV SHOWS ARE WE WATCHING THIS WEEK?
1. âCORAZĂN CONTENTOâ (1 Season available on Amazon Prime)
Rated:TV-13+ (Comedy)
This comedy that follows 3 different Mexican families is hands down hilarious. This show revolves around their eating habits and obesity. Okay. Okay. We know itâs a touchy subject for many, but this show has a lot of heart. It does a great job at bringing light to such an important topic affecting many, but in a humorous way. It reminds us about the importance of family and making wise choices.Â
Â
2. âCĂMO SOBREVIVIR SOLTEROâ (1 Season available on Amazon Prime)
Rated:TV-16+ (Comedy)
Itâs impossible to not keep watching this show after watching the first episode! This show gives a glimpse into the life of a young man who proposes to his girlfriend after being together for 10 years. Sounds romantic, right? WRONG! Itâs definitely not romantic when he finds out she was cheating on him. ÂĄÂĄÂĄQue pase la desgraciada!!!
Â
3. âASHLEY GARCIA: GENIUS IN LOVE (THE EXPANDING UNIVERSE OF ASHLEY GARCIA)â (3 Seasons available on Netflix)
Rated:TV-PG (Comedy)
There is nothing better than witnessing a strong, smart and determined teenager who wants to work for NASA and just happens to be Latina. This show follows her journey involving her move across the country to live with her uncle to fulfill her goals. Itâs a funny and really great storyline! This show should NOT have been cancelled after 3 seasons.Â
Â
4. âSOMEONE HAS TO DIE (ALGUIEN TIENE QUE MORIR)â (1 Season available on Netflix)
Rated:TV-MA (Limited Series/Drama/Thriller)
This thriller takes place in Spain in the 1950s and it showcases how a family does whatever it takes to ensure everyone thinks their family is perfect. It features a son who returns home after studying in MĂ©xico for 10 years. He is unaware that his family has arranged his marriage with someone he doesnât love and will NEVER love. The actors and the sets make this limited series priceless. Expect the unexpected with this storyline! This should have been a series with many seasons! Â
Â
5. âVIVOâ (A FILM available on Netflix)
Rated:PG (Animated Musical/Comedy)
WHY WAS THIS MOVIE NOT FEATURED IN THEATERS!!!???? My niece introduced me to this film and itâs such a spectacular story that should be viewed by everyone! The story centers around a monkey and his owner who enjoy playing music in the streets of Cuba. Just watch it! Make sure you have some tissue around just in case your eyes automatically start becoming fountains of water. I couldnât get enough of the music, the Latino talent, the animation, the story line, and the lessons learned from it. The film reminded us about the importance of friendship, family, love, life and memories. Gloria Estefan and Lin-Manuel Miranda better get awards for their talent displayed all over this film!
]]>This week we decided to update our very first MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK. It was the one that contained the early 2000âs R&B hits. It was a time period that gave us some of the best R&B songs of all time. (Feel free to fight us on that one.) The early 2000âs gave us those songs that made you want to get up and dance. There was also those songs that made you want to believe in love again. Yet, you can't forget about those jams that made you hate that evil desgraciado/desgraciada that broke your heart into a million pieces even more. That happens to everyone, right? RIGHT!!!???
We hope that this updated playlist that now contains 45 songs takes you back to a great decade. All these hits are worthy of playing and replaying numerous times. Feel free to sing along!Â
Donât forget that singing always feels even better when you have a michelada in hand. If you donât know how to make a micheladaâŠâŠ. stop crying and just pay attention: Our âI Love Micheladasâ Red Mix and our OG Brown Mix make it extremely easy. All you need to do is visit your local latino supermarket and buy our 32 oz bottle(s) there. If you donât live in Southern California (perhaps youâre living in the middle of nowhere)âŠâŠ you can buy our products online at www.ILoveMicheladas.com. Once you have our product, then you just make sure to pair our mix with your favorite beer or sparkling water. You can add lemon and TajĂnâŠ. and youâre all set! Mmmmmmm. Itâs the best michelada you will ever have. Trust us.
Okay. Back to the music. Go on Spotify right this second and take a listen to our updated Early 2000âs R&B playlist. You will love it. Donât forget to follow us on there. Please share and tell everyone you know that our playlists are FUEGOOOOOO!!!
Â
CHEERS!

MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK:
]]>Just in case you havenât noticed, we are on a brand-new month. Itâs September and that only means that starting on the 15th of this month it is officially National Hispanic Heritage Month!!! Itâs important to take time to reflect and admire the contributions our people, from the past and in the present, have made to this country. We are a strong minority in this country, but we are definitely a mighty group of necessary people for this country to fully function. ÂĄArriba los Latinos y los Hispanos!
In honor of such a special month for our community, our MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK is dedicated to all those brilliant women who have given us their talent through their music en español. This playlist honors all these women by including 2 of their songs. These are songs that we grew up listening to with our parents and our friends. Some of these songs have been present through the many stages of our lives. This playlist includes hits from Celia Cruz, Gloria Estefan, Ana Gabriel and Jenni Rivera. It also includes legends like Laura Pausini, Natalia JimĂ©nez, Eydie Gorme and RocĂo DĂșrcal who arenât latinas, but who deserve to be in this list since they spread our beautiful spanish language with their songs. They are honorary latinas in our community. Some of the women featured are no longer with us, but their music will live on forever.
All we can say is that all the reinas included in this playlist have made an impact in their genre and therefore are part of our tribute. Itâs impossible to include them all since the list of powerful hispanic women singers is endless. We tried our best to include as many as possible though. If we left out one of your favorites, please forgive us. We will do our best to keep on adding more songs to it in the future.
By the way, itâs your day off so make sure you treat yourself to a much deserved michelada thatâs made with our delicious âI Love Micheladasâ mix. You can pick up some Red and OG Brown mixes from your local latino supermarket or you can buy some online at our website at www.ILoveMicheladas.com. Then you just pair our mix with your favorite beer or sparkling water. You wonât regret it!
Now letâs get to the music. ÂĄY arriba las reinas de la mĂșsica en español!

]]>Itâs also important to acknowledge that September is finally here! Did you know that there are only 119 days left in the year!!!!???? Time sure does fly by when youâre having fun (and while youâre doing your best to stay alive during a world pandemic.)
National Hispanic Heritage Month officially begins on September 15 and we just canât wait! Since a lot of us will be free this long weekendâŠ.. we have created a list of 4 shows and 1 film that are perfect to celebrate our Hispanic heritage. We donât normally recommend movies but we just had to on this occasion. This week we are watching a diverse group of shows ranging from drama, comedy and even suspense. All of these shows are addicting and provide entertainment using a lot of talento Latino!
If youâre having trouble selecting a drink before sitting down to dive into our picks, we suggest a michelada. (You better be over 21 years of age though!!!!!) But not just any michelada. A michelada made with our very savory âI Love Micheladasâ mixes. It only involves: shaking the bottle, grabbing a cup, preparing the rim (with chamoy, lemon and/or TajĂn), pouring our mix and combining it with your favorite beer or sparkling water. Itâs so easy and yet so worth it! We even have a VEGAN mix available for all you wonderful vegans out there! Our Red Mix and our OG Brown Mix are available at many latino grocery stores and online by visiting www.ILoveMicheladas.com. Act now before you have no choice but to watch our picks of the week while drinking water and ugly crying. Not cute!
Now that you know that youâll most likely be drinking a tasty michelada while streaming this long weekend⊠letâs get to our recommendations for this week!
Â
WHAT TV SHOWS ARE WE WATCHING THIS WEEK?
1. âMONARCAâ (2 Seasons available on Netflix)
Rated: TV-MA (Drama/Novela)
If you enjoy family dramaâŠ.. this series is for you. Donât even act like itâs not a subject you can relate to. We all have family drama, so might as well watch other people go through it instead of us. This show does a beautiful job at showing the beauty of MĂ©xico while entertaining us with a very engaging story line. Your attention will be grabbed from the very first episode. Itâs always fun to watch siblings fighting over what they think belongs to them! Let the suspense and backstabbing begin!
Â
2. âSELENA: THE SERIESâ (2 Parts available on Netflix)
Rated: TV-PG (Music/Drama/Comedy)
Christian Serratos, the actress playing Selena, won us over as the episodes went along. Not going to lie, it does take time for you to get used to this interpretation of Selena. We werenât convinced at the beginning with her look and acting, but she did a great job overall! This series just takes you back to the Selena days and how much we love her and still miss her. We get a glimpse of her life, career and her struggles as she worked along with her family. The best part of this series is that the Quintanilla family played a role in making it, so we get a lot of details and stories that we didnât know! If you like Selena and you enjoy her music, this series is a must. Please remember that we should be supporting our Latino actors and not criticizing their craft. We should be lifting our people since we donât always get the spotlight! Letâs support and celebrate each other, instead of the opposite.
Â
3. âLA CASA DE LAS FLORES (HOUSE OF FLOWERS)â (3 Seasons available on Netflix)
Rated: TV-MA (Drama/Comedy)
This dark comedy is a must watch because itâs just hilarious! The funny one-liners and the story lines are just epic. Veronica Castro steals the show on Season 1. The rest of the seasons are not as spectacular but theyâre still very funny. Every actor has a moment to shine in their own way. This show basically portrays the broken De La Mora family who do their best to look perfect in the eyes of everyone around them. Are they successful? Watch it to find out! If you speak Spanish, we suggest watching it in Spanish. If you donât speak Spanish, watch it in Spanish but with the captions. This show is very inclusive and shows us that families come in many different shapes and sizes. The soundtrack is off the hook as well! This series is defintiely worth it! (There is also a movie and a special episode available because this show deserves it.)
Â
4. âJANE THE VIRGINâ (5 Seasons available on Netflix)
Rated: TV-14 (Drama, Comedy)
This show does a great job at mocking telenovelas in a very funny way. Youâll fall in love with the actors and you will have a difficult time either picking to be Team Rafael or Team Michael. Will you also be Team Jane or Team Petra? The plot is silly, goofy and over-the-top⊠but itâs all worth it because the message gets across: Family always comes first! It doesnât matter what TEAM youâre on, because all the characters are worth supporting. This series has a lot of Latino talent. We wonât get into the plot so that you can be surprised and shocked. Just know that a pregnancy is involved!
Â
5. âMUCHO MUCHO AMOR: THE LEGEND OF WALTER MERCARDOâ (A FILM available on Netflix)
Rated: TV-14 (Documentary)
We donât normally recommend films but we just felt like we should with this one. This documentary is nostalgic as we get a glimpse of the career and final days of the legendary astronomer, Walter Mercado. It doesnât matter if you hated or loved himâŠ.. believed in him or notâŠ.. youâll end up loving and respecting his persona after watching this film. His life wasnât always easy, but his positive spirit and love kept him going. We should all try our best to be as majestic and happy as Walter Mercado was. We can all try to be more joyous in our everyday lives. Go watch it con mucho, mucho, MUCHO amor!
]]>So after 25 years of being separated, Los Bukis were back together on stage this past weekend in Inglewood, California at the brand new SoFi Stadium! (They were actually the first latin artist to play at this brand new venue!) We really hope that you had the opportunity to experience it because it was MAGICAL and PRICELESS! Marco Antonio SolĂs was up on stage serving late 70âs, 80âs and 90âs greatness and we were all feeling the vibes. He hasnât aged at all and his voice is immaculate. In the words of all mothers who are the toughest musical critics on planet earth: âEste si es un cancante de verdad.â
It was very nostalgic to be able to sing along (with over 70,000 people of all ages) to all those songs that we all grew up listening to. There wasnât a weekend of cleaning, a family carne asada or a drive to the market that didnât involve Los Bukis serving as much needed background music.
There was no doubt that our MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK had to focus on the songs of Los Bukis that were given life once again this past weekend. There is no Los Bukis without Marco Antonio SolĂs and thereâs no Marco Antonio SolĂs without Los Bukis. For that reason, we present to you our very first VS. sing-off playlist. Hits from Los Bukis go âhead to headâ with songs from Marco Antonio SolĂsâ solo career. This created the perfect playlist for fans of this musical LEGEND.
This 70 song playlist has las canciones viejitas, the ones everyone knows, and some of the recent ones. Itâs a great set of songs that perfectly showcase the essence of this musical genius and a band that will forever live in our hearts. If you didnât get a chance to experience their music live this past weekend, relax because this playlist is the next best thing!
Make sure that whenever youâre listening to Marco Antonio SolĂs and Los BukisâŠ.. that you have some âI Love Micheladasâ mixes close by. You can pick up some Red and OG Brown mixes from your local latino supermarket or you can buy some online at our website at www.ILoveMicheladas.com. (We have many different sizes!) Then you just pair your favorite mix with your favorite beer or sparkling water. Itâs easy and delicious!
(A very special shout out to the two sets of winners of our Los Bukis concert tickets giveaway! We hope you had an amazing time.)
ÂĄArriba Los Bukis! ÂĄArriba Marco Antonio SolĂs! ÂĄY que viva la mĂșsica!
Y como dice Marco Antonio SolĂs: ÂĄDILOOOOOOOOOO!!

]]>Our MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK focuses on songs that we all know and love to sing along to, especially while being out on the road. This playlist has a little bit of everything. Some tunes are mellow, some are just catchy and others are meant to just pump you up. Everyone has a different taste when it comes to what they want to listen to while they're on the road...... so we just tried our best to include a mix of genres. We strongly believe that it will come in handy as you patiently (or unpatiently) wait, unable to move due to the horrible traffic on the 605, 91, 710, 405, 5 or the 110 freeway. These are just a few of the freeways in California that we love to hate, but canât live without. Regardless of what freeway youâll be driving on (or barely driving through), we hope this group of songs cheer you up and make everyone start dancing and singing while you blast it through your speakers.
]]>August is almost over and September is just around the corner. Even though a lot of people are going back to school already and weâre all slowly getting back to our ânormalâ lives, itâs important to understand that we technically still have a few more weeks left of summer. That only means that there is still time to have a few mini road trips! We have done our best to assist with those weekend adventures. So our MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK focuses on songs that we all know and love to sing along to, especially while being out on the road.
Regardless of what freeway youâll be driving on (or barely driving through), we hope this group of songs cheer you up and make everyone start dancing and singing while you blast it through your speakers.Â
By the way, make sure that you are NOT drinking anything while driving. It might spill and get really messy. It's also very distracting. We do suggest having some âI Love Micheladasâ mixes ready when you arrive at your destination though. You can pick up some Red and OG Brown mixes from your local latino supermarket or you can buy some online at our website at www.ILovemicheladas.com. Then you just pair them with your favorite beer or sparkling water. Itâs the best drink to have as we unwillingly say goodbye to the last weeks of summer. Let us know if you like it!Â
So go out there and sing your lungs out. Dance without letting go of the steering wheel. Ignore the people staring and judging you. Drive safely. Avoid any type of road rage. Follow all traffic signs and adhere to all speed limits. Keep your eyes on the road and enjoy your trip!!!Â

]]>With that said, make sure you relax this weekend (or whenever youâre off during the week) because recharging is paramount and necessary. If you donât have any plans, we have suggestions that involve your streaming services! Since youâre already paying for them, might as well use them. If you donât have any streaming services, we suggest reaching out to that one rich tĂa addicted to television to get her passwords!!! (If youâre a tĂa who felt attacked and was offended by our previous sentenceâŠ. we apologize in advance.) This week we are watching a diverse group of shows ranging from action, drama, crime, comedy, reality and even a docuseries. Like always, all of the shows mentioned are entertaining and deserve our attention.
Before we start diving into our recommendations though, make sure your viewing experience involves hydrating yourself with a savory michelada made with our âI Love Micheladasâ mixes. If youâve never made a michelada beforeâŠ. we got you! Thereâs no need to go get an expensive Mixology Certification to be able to treat yourself to a homemade michelada. All you need to do is grab a cup, pour our mix and combine it with your favorite beer or sparkling water. (Yes, those who donât drink beer love mixing it with sparkling water and it's delicious!) Then you can add chamoy, limĂłn and TajĂn to make it even better.
Just in case you've been living under a rock, our products are available at many latino grocery stores and online by visiting www.ILoveMicheladas.com. So thereâs absolutely no excuse to not have our mixes in your pantry, refrigerator, work breakroom, under your desk in that special cabinet for tough days, fanny pack and/or any type of survival kit.Â
Now that you know what you should be drinking while streaming⊠letâs get to what weâre all here for: our recommendations for this week!
Â
WHAT TV SHOWS ARE WE WATCHING THIS WEEK?
Â
1. âSECRETS OF THE WHALESâ (1 Season available on Disney+)
Rated:TV-PG (Docuseries / Animals & Nature)
This National Geographic and Disney+ Original docuseries is a must watch if youâre a fan of the ocean. It doesnât matter if itâs the Pacific Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean or the Arctic Ocean that you like best. If you like oceans and whalesâŠ. this one is for you. Sigourney Weaver narrates the epic journey of a group of orcas, humpbacks, belugas, narwhals and sperm whales as they do their best to just exist. It was filmed throughout 3 years and in 24 different parts of the world. Itâs incredible to see how whales and humans share very similar traits and behaviors. This is definitely a series that the entire family can sit down and enjoy.Â
Â
2. âLOVE IS BLIND: AFTER THE ALTARâ (1 Season available on Netflix)
Rated:TV-MA (Competition Reality TV)
If you didnât watch âLove Is Blindâ during quarantine last yearâŠ. you missed out on an addicting drama filled reality tv show! Itâs not too late to catch up though. Itâs basically an experiment involving a group of men and women looking for love without being able to see who theyâre interacting with. So itâs like blind dating (literally) but theyâre stuck in a pod and all they have is their sense of hearing to find the true love of their life. After many sessions with multiple people, couples are formed based on their picks and then they finally see who they chose! After a resort vacation, some couples make it to the altar and some do not!Â
This show is the update on all the participants. The drama and awkwardness is intense. So make sure to watch âLove Is Blindâ first and then âLove is Blind: After The Altar.â Please let us know if you still hate the same individuals after watching this update of the initial season.
Â
3. âBIG SKYâ (1 Season available on Hulu and on ABC.com)
Rated:TV-14 (Drama, Crime)
This show isnât receiving the attention that it deserves! Itâs a drama that involves a small town, women detectives, kidnapping, a love triangle and a maniac who still lives with his mother. If that doesnât convince you to watch this incredible show⊠not too sure what else to tell you. Once you watch the first episode, thereâs no way youâre not moving on to the next one.
Â
4. âMODERN LOVEâ (2 Seasons available on Amazon Prime)
Rated:16+ (Drama, Comedy)
This show, inspired by The New York Timesâs popular âModern Loveâ column, explores all the ways in which love is felt and expressed in recent times. Each episode is a short story reenacting stories that involve love and the way it affects our lives. It shows the good and the bad side of it. Thereâs 2 seasons but nothing compares to the first season. The first season is a masterpiece. The second season is different and not as impressive as the first, but it has a lot of actors that we know!
Â
5. âLOKIâ (1 Season available on Disney+)
Rated:TV-14 (Science Fiction/Fantasy/Super Hero/Action)
If youâre into anything dealing with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, watching Loki is a given. Itâs 6 intense episodes involving Thor's adopted brother and the God of Mischief. Its storyline is based after the events from the movie âAvengers: Endgameâ from 2019. Even if you donât know anything about Marvel, you will be entertained. If youâre a fan of villains, spectacular music and time traveling... this one is for you.
]]>Have you ever noticed how particular songs just make you want to drink your heart out? It doesnât even matter where youâre atâŠ.. you happen to hear that one song while youâre talking to Bertha from Accounting or youâre buying groceries at VallartaâŠ. and you just wish you were hanging out with that one close friend drinking a cold one. The crazy part is that sometimes it works the opposite way. A person who broke your heart comes to mind randomly and it instantly reminds you a specific song. The power of music, people! It takes you back whether itâs good or bad memories.
With that idea in mind, our MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK focuses on background music for your borracheras. We donât mean the drinking party songs that everyone knows and loves. Weâre referring to the mellow jams that just hit differently. Esas canciones que te llegan al corazĂłn for whatever reason. So donât play these songs at your next backyard party because then you might have to provide some tequila shots and several boxes of Kleenex to all your guests. (Yes, people might start crying once they think about that one desgraciado o desgraciada that did them wrong.)
This playlist containing 95 songs has a lot of âcorta venasâ that allow you to sing at the top of your lungs. These rolas can be a bit depressing, but sometimes theyâre necessary to just let it all out. Thereâs those over-the-top pain-filled baladas that we all grew up listening to, as well as rancheras, banda, mariachi, oldies and even reggaetĂłn.
Donât even act like you donât need this playlist in your life. Everyone hurts sometimes. Itâs okay to not always be okay. LOL. So feel free to check out our playlist on Spotify so that you know what youâll be listening to the next time your best friend rings your doorbell unannounced with a 12 pack in hand.
(Many songs did not make the cut because the list of these âte odio maldito desgraciado con toda mi almaâ songs is ENDLESS. For now, these 95 songs should provide the necessary sentimiento to get the job done.)
A special shout out to our beloved Vicente Fernandez for gifting us with so many hits during the past several decades that perfectly express the pain that we sometimes feel. We wish him a very speedy recovery since he was hospitalized this past week. ¥Le mandamos buenas vibras, Don Chente! We made sure to include many of his borrachera worthy jams because they definitely belong.
Whenever you do happen to need this playlist though, we hope that youâll be surrounded by great company and sipping on a few micheladas. So please make sure you always have some âI Love Micheladasâ mixes ready. The Red Mix and our OG Brown are both very tasty and savory. Yes, fill up your entire pantry with some of our 32oz bottles. You can pick some up from your local latino supermarket or you can buy some online at our website at www.ILovemicheladas.com. Then you just pair them with your favorite beer or sparkling water. So quit playinâ and act now! (Hereâs a little secret: you can order a 12 pack of our 32 oz bottles on our website! Thereâs no such thing as having too many âI Love Micheladasâ on deck.)
In conclusion, this playlist is not one youâll be listening to very often. But itâs good to know that if you ever need it or your homies need it, that itâs there waiting for you. Please keep in mind that no one is worthy of your sadness or tears. Cry it off (once or twice) and move on. Always remember those iconic words from that special nanny from The Help : âYou is kind. You is smart. You is important.â Yes, Iâm talking about you. The person reading this blog.
Yes, sing out the pain comadre!
ÂĄEchele sentimiento, compadre!
ÂĄAjuuua!

]]>Moving onâŠâŠ. the 2020 Tokyo Olympics are coming to an end this weekend, so that only means that youâre going to need recommendations. The list of the shows we are watching for this week is very eclectic. The shows are all very random, but like always worth mentioning. You could never go wrong with some comedy, some reality tv show drama, or even some crime solving.
But first, it has come to our attention that some very important studies show that drinking a michelada made with our very own âI Love Micheladasâ mix improves any tv watching experience by 100%. Donât ask us who made the study. Just know it was very smart and important people. So might as well listen to the experts and have some âI Love Micheladasâ mixes nearby at all times. All you need to do is grab a cup, pour our mix and combine it with your favorite beer or sparkling water. Yes, our products are available at many latino grocery stores and online by visiting www.ILoveMicheladas.com. Go ahead and have it ready before you begin watching any of our recommendations.
Okay now grab your drink. Grab the snacks. Get comfy. Silence your cellphone. Tell everyone around you to be quiet. And just hit play.
Â
OUR PICKS FOR THE WEEK:
Â
1. âTED LASSOâ (2 Seasons available on Apple TV+)
Rated: TV-MA (Comedy)
This is the kind of show that when described to someone else, it just doesnât work. This show doesnât work on paper either. Itâs the type of show that needs to be experienced to fully grasp and understand it. Once you give it a shot, youâll be hooked. This series basically follows a coach that lacks experience in a certain sport but proves to all that being optimistic and kind is far more important. Nothing we say on here is going to convince you to watch, so just go watch it right now! Just BELIEVE us!
Â
2. âBETTER CALL SAULâ (4 Seasons available on Netflix, 5th Season Coming 2022)
Rated: TV-MA (Crime TV Show)
If you watched all 5 seasons of âBreaking Badâ and loved it, you must watch this prequel. Even if you didnât get a chance to watch the original show, you can still fully enjoy this one. There is just something very special about seeing an attorney become a criminal lawyer in a very complicated world. The people behind the show did a spectacular job at ensuring every scene was carefully crafted and necessary to move the plot along. This show is very underrated and should be given more attention. Give it a shot and you wonât regret it! 2 more seasons are coming our away, we just donât know exactly when.
Â
3. âNEVER HAVE I EVERâ (2 Seasons available on Netflix)
Rated: TV-14 (Comedy, Drama)
Mindy Kalingâs new hit show follows an Indian-American teen as she tries her best to survive high school in Boston after a traumatic life-changing incident. She was actually inspired by her own life experiences as a young adult to develop and create the show! Itâs a great cast and an awesome storyline. You canât help but root for the main character, Devi!
Â
4. âCRIME SCENE KITCHENâ (1 Season available on Hulu or Fox.com)
Rated: TV-PG (Reality, Cooking & Food)
This competition show combines the worlds of baking and crime solving as teams try their best to decipher clues to figure out what they need to bake. Using clues such as crumbs and ingredients left behind in the test kitchen, they must replicate the dessert that was created before their arrival. Joel McHale is the host and his unnecessary commentary makes the show work. If you like to see people stress out as they bake delicious looking cakes and sweets before time runs out (in order to not get eliminated)⊠this show is for you.
Â
5. âBIG BROTHERâ (Season 23 available on Paramount+, As Well As All Other Seasons)
Rated: TV-14 (Reality TV)
Does anybody still watch Big Brother? People must be watching since a new season started a few weeks ago. This show is like when you happen to drive next to a car crashâŠ. you know you shouldnât be looking, but you just canât stop yourself from doing so. Thereâs just something addicting from witnessing deceit, backstabbing, fake alliances, twists and blindsight after blindsight as strangers compete for that $500K grand prize. Season 23 hasnât disappointed when it comes to entertainment value. As Julie Chen always says, âExpect the unexpected!â
]]>Now letâs get to the music! This MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK is meant to bring life and joy to any carnita asada gathering. This 50 song playlist (yes, itâs your lucky Monday because this week weâre giving you 50 jams) was a bit more challenging to put together because everyone has a different expectation for the music they expect to hear while grubbing on some grilled deliciousness with family and friends. The vibe of the entire gathering is heavily influenced by the genre and language of the music being played. One could easily go all hip-hop, reggaeton, banda, pop or salsa. So, we decided to make sure it had a little bit of everything. The playlist will definitely cheer you up and make you want to move. Since carne asadas involve people of all ages, we kept that in mind when constructing the playlist for this week. We know youâll like it though!
If your carnita asada next weekend isnât serving micheladas made with our one-of-a-kind âI Love Micheladasâ mixes, your gathering with all due respect SUCKS. Please make sure youâre providing your family and friends with the best experience possible by picking up some bottles from your local latino supermarket or by placing an order through our âI Love Micheladasâ online store. Donât forget to grab some of your favorite beer or sparkling water since theyâre necessary for the michelada making process.
We know itâs Monday and we are an entire work away from being able to have a carnita asada, but feel free to just hit play on our Spotify playlist already. Just close your eyes and envision yourself at a carnita asada with a delicious michelada in hand as you laugh and dance with people whose company you fully enjoy. Ok, open your eyes now and get back to work!Â

]]>Hello there. You managed to slide into our blog. Welcome. Thank you for joining us! Today is Monday again⊠so HAPPY MONDAY!!
It has come to our attention that our weekly playlists are putting listeners into a really great mood. Our songs are carefully selected each week so we love and appreciate the feedback. We enjoy the entire process of making the playlists and being able to share them with you all through Spotify.
Buckle up because we donât think you all are ready for this one! This MICHE MIX OF THE WEEK is not for the faint of heart! We donât suggest listening to this playlist loudly at work, at church or while youâre hanging out with your abuelita. Itâs a mix of naughty, âbaby makingâ songs that can easily get you in trouble if youâre caught off guard. With that said, please make wise decisions out there!
The tunes selected for this weekâs playlist are sensual and do a perfect job at setting the right mood for any romantic session. For the first time ever, we selected 20 songs instead of our usual 11! We suggest listening to it all in its selected order. (There are too many sexy songs out there, so a vast amount of them were left out. Relax, we plan on adding more jams to our playlists in the future.)
This playlist though! If youâre in a relationship, use it! If youâre single, use it to inspire you to find the perfect person for you. If youâre confused as to whether youâre in a relationship or not, just use it whenever possible too. Regardless of your romantic status, these hits are fuegoooo!
The thirst will be real (for many obvious reasons) while listening to this playlist. We suggest having some of our "I Love Micheladas" mix nearby so that you can easily take a break and sip on some micheladas. Yes, you can pick some bottles up from your local latino supermarket or by placing an order through our "I Love Micheladas" online store. The final step is just pairing it with your favorite beer or sparkling water. So please plan accordingly!Â
For the record, we are not responsible if this playlist turns you into a parent overnight and you somehow end up on the Maury show. You have been warned! In conclusion, be careful with this playlist!Â
Is it just us or is it getting hot in here all of a sudden? ¥¥Gobiérnate, por favor!!

If youâre not tuning in to watch the Olympics though (we are not judging at all)⊠we have some tv show recommendations for you then!Â

]]>This week our playlist showcases songs from 2021! Yes, that means jams in English and Spanish that are current hits. It has been an interesting year thus far. It has been months of rebuilding and slowly getting back to ânormal.â Luckily, music has been there for us during this transitional period of readjusting.
The tunes selected for this weekâs playlist are catchy and difficult to ignore. They all do a great job at allowing us to just sing, dance and feel. Like always, it was difficult picking just 11 songs because thereâs an infinite amount of talent out there in all genres. (We might consider adding more songs to all our existing playlists in the future since 11 just isnât enough.) This playlist contains songs that have been playing for months now, while others have only been around for just days!Â
Always keep in mind that thereâs no rule out there stating that micheladas cannot be consumed every single day of the week. We understand that itâs barely the beginning of the work week, but feel free to take a break whenever you think itâs necessary. Itâs summer so we suggest picking up some I Love Micheladas mix from your local supermarket or placing an order by visiting our I Love Micheladas online store. The next step is pairing it with your favorite beer or sparkling water. You wonât regret it!Â
Talk to us! If thereâs a song you think we should be listening to and want us to feature in our playlists, hit us up at info@ilovemicheladas.com or DM us at @ilovemicheladas.
Turn the volume up and get lost in the music!Â
